Owen qualified from
Cambridge in 2005 and worked in several mixed practices before establishing a
small animal and equine practice in North Wales which he sold in 2011. He has a
clinical interest in surgery but now spends most of his time in management
where he is founder and CEO of Animal Trust a 200 employee social enterprise
based in the North West. He has a particular interest in business and process
innovation and alternative models of delivering veterinary care
